Training for recreational and racing skippers and crews who encounter rough weather and problems at sea. The certificate awarded conforms with the eligibility requirements of section 6.01 of the ISAF Special Regulations for category 0, 1 and some category 2 offshore races.
The RYA/World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival Course (previously known as the ISAF Offshore Survival Course) is for anyone going offshore racing – such as the Fastnet Yacht Race and other high profile races.
This is a two day course covers the theory of preparing for heavy weather emergencies and abandonment at sea, followed by a practical session on life rafts, survival techniques, fire fighting and the correct use of flares.

Previous Experience/Knowledge: Practical Offshore Sailing Experience.

Minimum Age: 18
